This is our suggested method to clear crystals – it works on every crystal + you can get a quick self-cleansing while you’re at it.
For centuries many indigenous cultures have practiced smudging. Smudging entails taking a sacred herb, (such as Sage, Sweetgrass, or Santo Palo) & lighting a flame to the tip of it, letting it smoke, and then holding the crystal within the smoke for a moment. We wrap our sage in other beneficial plants & herbs such as lavender, sunflowers, etc. to boost the energies of the cleansing while welcoming in the vibration desired.
A powerful way to charge your stones is to close your eyes & imagine a light surrounding you or even "beaming" from your Third Eye Chakra directly to your crystal(s). This technique relies on the power of visualization. For those who are able to tap in this way (this likely isn't the technique of skeptics), the goal is to envision any negativity being transformed into positive light energy. This method requires you to be focused and maintain your concentration.
- Cleansing With Crystals -
-Keep In Mind-
You never have to clean Azeztulite, Citrine, Kyanite, or Selenite stones. Clear Quartz, Carnelian, and Amethyst have the capability to cleanse other crystals (but may need some cleaning themselves after).
Another popular way to cleanse crystals is by placing them on a slab of Selenite. Selenite aligns your chakras, helps with physical pain, especially the spine, NEVER needs cleaning (but still benefits from smudging & direct contact with moonlight). You can clear gems in as little as 10 minutes using this method, so if you're headed out place your stones on a slab while you get ready to take on the day.
Clear crystal or Amethyst cluster
Clear Quartz & Amethyst clusters are also effective for clearing the energies of healing stones. Simply place your stones on them overnight to clear them.
Lay stones out during the Full Moon. You may even wish to place them the day before the Full Moon, and after. The moon represents Yin energy, by nourishing your crystals with Yin energy flow during a moon bath your gemstones benefit from its feminine
Sunlight is a great way to bathe your crystals, especially those that are red, yellow such as Carnelian and Sunstone.
!Keep In Mind!
Sunlight makes some crystals fade or change in color.
The following crystals should not be placed under sunlight: Amethyst, Celestite, Citrine, Fluorite, Kunzite, Rose Quartz, Smoky Quartz, Topaz, and Turquoise, to name a few. Opal can dry out in sunlight.
Some crystals should not be submerged under water, otherwise, they will become damaged or will dissolve.
Some of the crystals that should not be submerged in water, include: Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, Fluorite, Calcite, Desert Rose, Labradorite, & Halite.
